Phew, I made it through the crowds, noise, heat and stuff. I really feel myself old and had troubles recognizing if the little folks did cosplay something or did they just dress up casually like that. What’s up with dog leashes and “Free hugs”-signs? Oh, silly kids. Luckily I was allowed to just sit behind a table most of the time, I liked it <3

Here, have my sucky attempt at trying to create a Nanibird. The paper is too thin and wrong colour and I didn’t have the right kind of glue, so he’s kinda retarted looking at the moment. J promised to bring better paper, so I’ll try again, hopefully with better results.

Argh, I kinda hate Wordpress at the moment. I tried upgrading to version 2.8.1. but it just broke my dashboard and my theme stopped working, so I installed 2.7.1. and then upgraded again…it works now but for some reason my dashboard still asks me to upgrade to 2.8.1. and upgrade my plugins, although I’ve done it all >_> Oh well, at least my site works again.

Tomorrow it’s Animecon, I shall be at Kupoli’s mangafleamarket and bringing a mascot along. Come to say hi to me and Meital if you feel like it :3

I had some energy to sit down and actually color something. I’ve thought of giving Morri a longer wig and Monroe piercing – she should be getting at least the wig soon when my Leeke order gets back from France >_> Maybe pink strands on her hair as well?

Edit: Yes, I’m well aware that she surely doesn’t wear lots of clothing ;3

Leeke is "sorting things out with the post office" at the moment, and I've cooled down - I admit, I flipped a wee bit because it's always stressing when things like this happened as most of the stuff there is not mine! Of course I flipped only in my mind, it would do nothing good to go yell and cuss at Leeke. I still hope that they just mixed up tracking numbers and I have a package waiting for me when I go back to JKL. And in the worst case, French customs will just return the package to Leeke and they'll re-ship - I'm okay with waiting, I just want our wigs :| Bleh, never had anything like this happening.

I stayed a night over with xayas_tobias + her man and met lots of friends, thankies for the great time and sorry that I was bit distant on one point. I had a headache and sometimes feel bit strange when there are many people in small space. But it went away, and today we visited Minimaailma's shop and Hobbypoint. I bought nothing though, as I'm bit tight on funds at the moment and there were SO many choices. I'll have to re-visit Minimaailma when I get funds and after I've checked that there are no better deals on Ebay ;D I saw a beautiful doll gramophone, perfectly doll-scaled and so damn fine, antique-looking and all...but it was 98 euros ;_; I also would have liked to buy some flower miniatures, but they are cheaper in Ebay.

Oh look, it’s Leeke’s Dark Rihael! Their grey resin is so far my favourite, it’s a really pretty and dark. This is a moment when I do not think how cute Leeke’s little ones would look in grey resin. See, not thinking at all? The doll belongs to Taikatuuli, sadly, but I was allowed to play with him <3

Ah, how nice to be back "home"! I was gone for two nights, and yesterday we participated in a dolly picnic in Helsinki. It was really nice, gorgeous weather, lots of stuff to eat (ham rolls!), pretty dollies and nice owners. I took some photos but will post 'em in a separate entry soon. For a moment I was bit upset though, because my camera's focus ring started acting up and being a bit neurotic when it comes to my camera, I thought something was broken. Luckily it works again, and it was probably the heat which made the camera's metal parts expand and caused the crankiness. I've always protected my camera in cold weather, never thought that sunlight, heat, black camera and black bag = not a good combo. Oh well, I'll remember to keep my camera in shade the next time, and no permanent harm done! *phew*

I usually don’t “celebrate” BJD birthdays because I have too many AND I never remember them anyway…but this one was a must as Aegis has been with me for three years now. Time sure flies! He has changed a lot and as he was my first doll, he has been through lots of experiments and such. Luckily one thing hasn’t changed so much, it’s his childlike, strange, bubbly personality.

Thanks for these years, Aegismon, looking for many more!

And yep, he will spend the day with one of the biggest loves of his life – cake!

I finally picked up the Re-ments from the post office. I lost the mail slip and didn’t dare to ask them to just rummage through the packaces until I absolutely had to – and yesterday they sent me a new slip <3 Okay, I'm sometimes bit odd when it comes to social stuff...

Anyways, I should have bought more as these are gorgeous *_* And guess what’s the best part?

I forgot to pimp her new eyes; she got 18mm black glass ones some time ago which fit like a charm and reflect light so well. She really does look like a little sharp-eyed bird now! Still needing a new wig from Dollga preorder (that’s still preparing, I really hope it comes before I travel to south for a week!) and those black resin wings. I tried making her tattoo but I’ll have to re-do it as I get new brushes from good ol’ Hobbypoint – all my current brushes are quite dead, and that tattoo is all too thick >_> Or maybe I should try ordering them online and counting which comes cheaper?

From his Japan trip, that is <3 And here's the pretty stuff I got:

Including:

- A deer mobile plush and luck charm, meant to protect the children but as I have none, my dolls ;D These are from Nara, of course.
- Some craft roses and doll-sized keys <3
- And the best part, real kimono fabric scraps! They should be enough to make little kimonos, I’ll have to make at least my tinies some.

Not pictured:

- A bottle of mikan (satsuma) wine, will drink this soon.
- Set of doll-sized wine bottles. These were from Sevilla, Spain though

Ah, what is it that all my boys look so damn flaming these days? Okay, glittering pink scarf with golden sparkles, maybe. I just like nifty crazy patterns and bling also with my boys, who cares if they look gay - they’re just dandy. Dandy, I tell you! Besides in the past the guys were always the more fashionable ones. *nods*

Mmm yep, meant to say that I made some more clothes for Mirwaise from the scrap bag I bought from our fabric store. I love those scrap bags, they always give me ideas for new clothes.

Today has been spent with me, dolls, silicone sheet and a hot glue gun as I finally bought more glue sticks - and what a difference! Even Mirwaise’s arms pose fairly well, okay, fairly enough for me. And my little Mina is okay now as I applied as much hot glue to her little joints as I could. See? She’s able to stand now like that! She couldn’t do that before, no wonder I nearly lost it with her. I got fed up with her torso joint (sorry Bobobie owners, but I really dislike their floppy torso joint!) and just glued it on. Okay, she’s not able to bend anymore but her torso stays in its place at least.

And why do I always manage to burn myself with hot glue? Don’t I ever learn?

Eeep, lately this hobby has felt almost like work; I’ve sold stuff and arranged group orders, so it has taken a while to just go through PMs and put things in order. Luckily all has went smoothly but there is always some minor hassle. Oh well, I’ve sorted almost everything and emptied my PM box (it went from 10% to 61% in just few days, how crazy).

Mirwaise is getting ready, here’s a shot of him with new eyelashes and eyes. I must say that I really love those Chinese glass eyes in bright colours, they catch light really well! He’s wearing indigo glass eyes in 12mm (from Pupapa), and I really like how they look like <3

I was also a good girl and re-strung uncle K and added some silicone to his joints here and there. Now he’s able to stand again \o/

p.s. I do not understand why people mark their monthlies “Soom LIMITED EDITION MONTHLY DOLL thisandthat”. It feels like showing off, because all of ‘em are limited anyway but they’re not really that special – you can get them through fairly long ordering period, they are not limited in quantity and Soom offers a nifty layaway anyway. I paid the standard price of SD-sized doll for Mirwaise because we did a split, he’s a special doll for me but I’m not expecting that everyone bows to me because I have one of TEH MONTHRIES. He’s just a great and beloved doll, that’s all. (And I call him “Soom Supergem Heliot” )
